how to create new image file

trying to create a image file for a new Dell D630 laptop and it hangs during the boot process.  the laptop connects and pulls a DHCP address and then hangs at "Starting PC DOS".  any suggestions?

Trying using MS-DOS instead of PC-DOS when building your boot image file.
