Stop PXE boot from recurring

I am using 3com pxe boot services in combination with norton ghost.  Is there a way to prevent the pc from rebooting into pxe mode once the pxe has finished its task, ex.. loaded a new clone image.

computer reboots and then the whole clone process starts again...
thank you

Re: Stop PXE boot from recurring

I guess there are a couple of ways to prevent the 3Com Boot Services from repeating a task:

1.  Write flag on the local drive or network share to help to determine a task or phase is completed.  Check for this flag to determine whether or not perform a task.

2.  Create menu file (.mnu) and make the default option local booting. Add your ghost image to this menu file.  The menu file will always force the client to boot from the local hard disk by default unless another task is chosen.  The downside to this approach is that you will lose some of the automation.

3.  Upgrade to Argon Client Management Services (CMS).  CMS includes built-in utilities to prevent job looping.  See http://www.argontechnology.com/forum/Sh … readId=287
