DOS Client with PXE

Hi guys,

I have got 3com boot services working with PXE and all is great. I however need to map a drive to a network share so i can upload and download my ghost images. How can i get the dos client to work from a PXE boot?

I am using 3com boot services with PXE and ghost V8 i am how ever not using multicast server

Can anyone help?

Many thanks

Re: DOS Client with PXE

Craig, use the Ghost Boot Wizard to create a Drive Mapping Boot Disk.
Then you can use the Boot Services Boot Image Editor to create a boot image file from that Boot Disk floppy.

The Ghost Boot Wizard does not use the universal PXE NDIS driver so you are forced to select the NDIS2 driver depending on your network adapter.  This means that you have to create multiple boot image files if your client computers are using different network adapter.

The Argon Client Management Services (CMS)includes a Boot Image Creation Wizard that, like Ghost Boot Wizard, can create a DOS-based boot image file with network mapping.   This boot image uses the universal NDIS2 PXE driver.  This means that a single boot image file can be use by ALL your clients  regardless of network adapter.
You can download a free 15-day trial copy of CMS from the Download section
