CDS Default Menu Option

Hi Argon,

We noticed another missing feature that is no longer in CDS that was on CMS. In CMS we were able to choose the default menu option in each submenu as well as the main menu. Currently in CDS the defaulted choice always goes to the first menu option. With CMS we were able to choose the defaulted option.
Please advise.

Re: CDS Default Menu Option

Hi Argon,

Its been a year since we've you've mentioned CDS will be getting upgraded (has yet to occur). Has this product been shelved? Will it be discontinued?
It seems that CMS is still getting posts and responses to these posts. Does this mean we should consider downgrading our CDS licenses into CMS licenses if no product updates are in the works or if fixes will not be forthcoming with CDS??
Our yearly renewal is coming up and we'll need this information to figure out how to proceed.

Thank you,

Re: CDS Default Menu Option

Hi Atif,

This is great news!!!

Finally.

I've got to ask since the entire engineering group is asking??
General Time Frame for this release? This was supposed to happen last year so a tentative date would be nice.
Also, any ideas as to what will be included in this updated release??
What fixes will be included?
Will the automatic removal of settag client work now or will this still need to be a manual step?

Will it include support for BartPE and all of Microsoft's PE editions (2005)?

We have actually tested some shareware TFTP utilities out on the web that pull down ISO images much faster than CDS. Besides the fact the ISO images get an error msg upon the boot up process the drop itself takes almost 2 minutes to pull down via TFTP a 150MB ramdrive.
With the shareware it took about 38 seconds and it actually booted.

We've been waiting quite some time for this.

Any further clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

RB
