Can I use the 3Com PXE server to load pxelinux.0?  PXELINUX is a SYSLINUX derivative for booting Linux off a network server, using a network ROM conforming to the Intel PXE (Pre-Execution Environment) specification.  Checkout syslinux.zytor.com for more information.

What I need to do is boot a Linux kernel from a 3Com PXE server.  PXELINUX should be all that is needed.  The question is how can I get the 3Com PXE server to do this.  I have tried putting pxelinux.0 in the tftpboot directory with a Linux kernel, added a menu item pointing to pxelinux.0, and tried to boot from that menu item but all I got was a black screen.  Do I have to put pxelinux.0 inside a sys file wrapper (a file that looks like a regular boot floppy)?   RIS can handle pxelinux.0.  All I had to do was put pxelinux.0 in the right directory, added a few files for pxelinux.0, added a sif file, and it works great.  The 3Com PXE server can boot Linux bootdisks, but the kernel I need is almost 5MB in size.
